About the Position: Position is located at US Army Cadet Command Headquarters, Staff Judge Advocate (SJA), Fort Knox, KY

Duties

Process post-trial actions. Serve subpoenas as necessary. Perform a variety of paralegal tasks. Advise victims of the stages in the military criminal justice process. Assist Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys for hearings/ court appearances. Provide instructions on administrative functioning of the federal court system. Coordinate investigative action for victim/witness complaint. Arrange contact with the servicing agencies. Summarize written testimony based on evidence. Assist victims in making application to civilian agencies.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Secret background investigation.
• Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 5% of the time.
• May be required to serve a one year probationary period.

Education

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree LL.M., if related to the position being filled (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED).
