This position is part of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of the Associate Administrator for Emergency Management (NA-40). A successful candidate will serve as a Management Analyst, providing administrative, financial, and logistical services; strategic guidance; and executive secretariat and security support to all program offices within NA-40.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA pay band or GS grade level in the Federal Service i.e., NQ-02 or GS-12.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as: expert knowledge and skill in the application of analytical and evaluative methods to provide authoritative advice and guidance to management on various program, administrative, and technical issues, such as Emergency Management operations, human capital management strategies, and long-range planning initiatives. Expert knowledge of a range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of Emergency Management programs, goals, and objectives as well as methods of evaluating program goals, objectives and evaluating accomplishments.
Examples of Specialized Experience:
1. Experience with qualitative and quantitative methods to plan and conduct research.
2. Experience planning, organizing, and performing assessments, reviews, or studies.
3. Experience negotiating with management to accept and implement recommendations.
4. Experience analyzing procedures, processes, policies, or systems to determine accomplishment of goals and objectives.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
