You will serve as a SUPERVISOR TOMAHAWK CRUISE MISSILE PLANNER in the CRUISE MISSILE SUPPORT ACTIVITY, ATLANTIC (CMSA LANT) of CRUISE MISSILE SUPPORT ACTIVITY ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will review geo-positioning and joint weaponeering, route/navigation planning, mission distribution to ensure CCMD damage criteria is met, route survivability is maximized, and Fleet strike sequencing and timing requirements are detailed. You will analyze current and future designs of TLAM and HSW Command and Control System architecture related to navigation and geospatial data processes associated with TLAM and HSW planning . You will develop, modify, and interpret performance standards, and explain performance expectations to employees and provide regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses. You will identify employee developmental needs and provides or arranges for training (formal and on-the-job) to maintain and improve job performance. You will discharge security responsibilities by ensuring education and compliance with security directives for employees with access to classified or sensitive material. You will recognize and take action to correct situations posing a threat to the health or safety of subordinates. You will periodically review position descriptions to ensure accuracy and the most effective utilization of personnel resources. You will explain classification determinations to subordinate employees. You will support the agency’s EEO program through the allocation of personnel to participate in community outreach and recruitment programs and ensure full cooperation of employees with EEO office officials. You will address subordinates’ concerns, whether perceived or real, and follow up with appropriate action to correct or eliminate tension in the workplace. You will exercise discretionary authority over aspects of the disposition of the annual budget, directs travel, personnel participation decisions, and O and MN expenditures for the directorate. You will establish metrics, measures of performance and analysis across the production systems to ensure actions are timely and reviewed at critical points.

  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Tp qualify for the SUPERVISOR TOMAHAWK CRUISE MISSILE PLANER, GS2101-14, position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with TLAM and HSW weapon system mission planning, distribution, and execution processes and procedures and of weapon systems complimentary to TLAM and HSW sufficient to effectively collaborate, integrate, adapt, and influence and significantly impact operational plans and strategic policy decisions supporting POTUS, National Security Council (NSC), SECDEF, and the supported Joint Task Forces and/or Combatant Commanders. Experience with current and future designs of TLAM and HSW Command and Control System architecture related to navigation and geospatial data processes associated with TLAM and HSW planning necessary to analyze and integrate current and evolving GEOINT and Multi-Intelligence technologies and solutions into the mission planning process as well as the weapon systems configuration management roadmap. Experience with quantitative and qualitative techniques and methodologies sufficient to analyze complex plans, strike rehearsals, and exercise scenarios. Experience articulating observations and findings and implementing solutions to enhance overall mission/combat readiness, and identifying emergent or evolving operational requirements, evaluating and validating various data sources, and coordinating the evaluation and selection of data management tools.
