You will serve as a CHIEF ADVANCED TOMAHAWK & HYPERSONIC WEAPONS MISSION PLANNING DIVISION in the MISSION PLANNING DIV (N32) of CRUISE MISSILE SUPPORT ACTIVITY ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will perform a full range of supervisory responsibilities for subordinate staff. You will have the primary responsibility of the complex planning of advanced Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) and Hypersonic Weapons (HSW) mission planning. You will service as supervisor and subject matter expert, providing technical expertise to support Program Management Activity (PMA) weapon system development efforts. You will support and participate in the Developmental Testing (DT) and the Operational Testing (OT) of all new TLAM and HSW mission planning systems You will be responsible for performing joint fires integration and space and Airspace Control Measure (ACM) coordination with Space Force and Joint Forces Air Component Commander (JFACC). You will provide technical expertise to support Program Management Activity (PMA) weapon system development efforts. You will provide TLAM and HSW system expertise to Combatant Commanders to support the development, maintenance, and evaluation of war plans and contingency operations

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

To qualify for a GS-14, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying principles, concepts and methodologies pertaining to Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) missile modernization and Hypersonic Weapons (HSW) system mission planning, distribution and execution processes and procedures and of weapon systems complimentary to TLAM and HSWs sufficient to effectively develop new hypotheses, theories, collaborate, integrate, adapt, influence and significantly impact the operational plans and strategic policy decisions supporting POTUS, SECDEF, and the supported Joint Task Force or Geographic Combatant Commanders. Experience displaying knowledge of kinetic and non-kinetic threats to TLAM and HSW sufficient to apply and evaluate and address established, as well as theoretical, risk to current and projected operational areas of interest. Decisions are made that significantly influence the mission planning model. Assessments will be presented to operational staffs for their consideration in developing appropriate course of action options. Experience utilizing current and future designs of Tomahawk Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) Architecture related to navigation and geospatial data processes associated with TLAM and HSW planning necessary to analyze and integrate current and evolving GEOINT and Multi-Int technologies and solutions into the mission planning process as well as the weapon systems configuration management roadmap. Experience using standalone and enterprise navigation, imagery, and geospatial data systems, and understanding complex data technologies and related computer architectures supporting TLAM and HSW mission planning sufficient to meet or exceed command mission planning production goals, as well as to mitigate external systems and services support upgrades and outages. Experience employing authorities, constraints, and functions of supported Combatant Commanders, Joint Staff, Chief of Naval Operations, U.S. Numbered Fleets, Naval Air System Command program managers, Combat Support Agencies, and understanding of the Combat Air Operations Center integration and synchronization applicable to TLAM, HSW and CMSA LANT operations necessary to effectively represent and convey the Command's mission, vision, goals, capabilities, and requirements to senior personnel across significant organizational structures.
