Duties
As a/an Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will perform the following duties:
Serve as the technical authority for a significant program or function, such as either budget formulation, budget execution or new cross-cutting public health initiatives.
Monitor execution of funds for assigned programs which consist of obligations and expenditures for multi-year programs.
Coordinate with assigned program representative(s) to assist in the formulation of projected costs for program operations.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work, when necessary.
Qualifications
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
Time in grade (TIG) must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, which must include the following experience: performing budgetary functions of all phases of the federal budget process (e.g., formulation, justification, presentation, and execution); and providing advice and guidance on all phases of appropriated fund budgeting and related legislation; and preparing various financial and budget reports.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
