This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Financial Management Directorate (FMD), IBC FMD Administrative Support Division. The incumbent is the Subject Matter Expert on all aspects of the Federal government charge card program for IBC's Charge Card Support Branch (CCSB).

Duties

Serve as the subject matter expert on all aspects of the Federal government charge card program for IBC's Charge Card Support Branch (CCSB), which supports all of DOI. Ensure the branch strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into their strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and charge card support work products. Articulate and communicate duties, projects, milestones, issues, deadlines, and time frames for workload completion. Coach the branch in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, provide advice on charge card work methods, practices, and procedures. Identify, pilot, and test new tools and technologies related to charge card support duties and assist team members in identifying the parameters of a viable solutions. Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment. Communicate with the supervisor on issues or problems and to provide input on team performance and work progress.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes experience providing guidance, direction, and technical expertise to others related to an agency federal charge card program; applying federal charge card principles, policies, rules, and regulations; utilizing the charge card functionality in DOl's Financial and Business Management System (FBMS) or an external client agency financial management systems; conducting detailed analysis of financial information or data to advise or make recommendations to management. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Education can not be used as a substitute for specialized experience at this grade level.
