This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. This position is located within the Office of Research Services (R) serving as a first line supervisor in the Digitization Division. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling all of the archival functions of the employees assigned to the subgroup of the Branch.

As a SUPERVISORY ARCHIVIST, you will:
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Leading a team, program, or project;
AND
Utilizing archival principles relating to holding security, reference, processing, digitization and/or accessioning;
AND
Providing advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, relating to archival principles;
AND
Managing multiple priorities, such as but not limited to; prioritizing and delegating work for others, effectively communicating changing project or program requirements, and/or resolving guidance on complex archival issues.
Education
INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in archival science or bachelor's degree with a major that includes 18 semester hours in archival science, history and/or in political science or government, and 12 semester hours in one or any combination of the following: archival science, history, American civilization, economics, political science, public administration, or government;
OR
Combination of education and experience - at least 30 semester hours that included courses as shown in above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.Professional experience must have been in archival science, or in a directly related field of work such as history that involved the collection, appraisal, analysis, or synthesis of information having historical or archival values.
The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
