This position is located in the Office of Port Infrastructure Development, Office of the Associate Administrator for Ports & Waterways, Maritime Administration (MARAD).

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience in transportation policy and related outreach activities including, ideally, experience working with trade associations, other Federal, state, and local agencies, and/or maritime entities such as port authorities.
Experience developing innovative solutions to transportation challenges including developing strategies that will utilize current and emerging technologies to provide efficiencies to the supply chain.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Transportation-Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including costs and limits.
External Awareness-Identifies and understands economic, political, and social trends that affect the organization.
Oral Communication-Makes clear and convincing oral presentations. Listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.
Written Communication-Writes in a clear concise, organized and convincing manner for the intended audience.
