About the Position: Medical Research Acquisition Activity is the contracting element of Defense Health Agency Research and Development and provides support to the Command headquarters and its worldwide network of laboratories and medical logistics organizations.

Duties

Interpret and implement regulations, policies, procedures and funding announcements pertaining to the award and administration of Federal assistance agreements (grants and cooperative agreements). Initiate, develop and furnish policies, procedures, and guidance to Grants Officers and Grants Specialists. Initiate, develop, and present briefings, presentations, and training to Senior Leadership, Grants staff, and other DoD/Federal agencies. Conduct internal quality management reviews of Assistance Agreements, analyze data, and prepare and monitor corrective actions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires a Secret, Tier 3 Noncritical-Sensitive Moderate Risk personnel security investigation.
• Business Travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
• Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).

Ft. Detrick is located in Frederick, MD, in the heart of Frederick County.
