About the Position: Serves as a Management Analyst with the Deputy Chief of Staff and the U.S. Army Logistics Enterprise Support Agency (LESA).
Duties
Provide and coordinate administrative support to assigned civilian and military personnel, and Directorate Chief(s).
Provides support with Automated Time and Attendance System (ATAAPS), time/attendance and leave, civilian awards, personnel actions, on-boarding and out boarding process, and training.
Keep management informed of new or revised administrative policies, regulations, and procedures that affect the organization.
Research and recommend HR solutions to complex issues and topics.
Initiate, monitor, and track all requests for personnel actions (RPAs) ensuring completeness, accuracy, and attachment of appropriate documents.
Oversee G-4’s and LESA’s civilian Awards Program
Serve as the primary training coordinator for administrative, technical, and professional classes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) initiating and monitoring the progress of civilian Requests for Personal Actions utilizing an automated system such as Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) or AUTO NOA; (2) utilizing an electronic training and development tracking system such as Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) to develop individual training plans, track required training and schedule/reserve training for civilian employees; and (3) applying rules, regulations and policies to ensure civilian awards (monetary and honorary)are appropriate and accurate prior to approval. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements. Current employees applying under VEOA are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee.
