Serves as the Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) and Counter-Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (CSUAS) Program Manager to the TSD Security Forces .

Manages SUAS and CSUAS program for the Security Forces Squadron.
Performs as a subject matter expert for all assigned SUAS and C-SUAS platforms
Provides expert level knowledge of assigned SUAS and C-SUAS system, design, capabilities and limiting factors.
Conducts long-term planning, workload management, functional/technical advice and guidance, and continuity of operations for the unit-level SUAS and C-SUAS program.
Aligns all SUAS and C-SUAS guidance with3 Air Force, Space Force, and higher headquarter instruction and directives.
Provides conflict resolution recommendations and coordination input into the installation and integrated defense plan.
Manages all SUAS and C-SUAS program software and equipment logistics.
Perform on-hand accountability and record keeping of program-related equipment which requires operating Government Owned Vehicles (GOV) as part of assigned duties.
Serve as the training authority and expert on all matters involving modernization and programming of SUAS and C-SUAS.
Creates, builds, maintains, monitors and updates training guidance and training plans for all SUAS-O personnel.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions located here.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-05 thru GS-11 in the Federal Service.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Expert knowledge of the concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials and equipment associated with aerial surveillance SUAS and C-SUAS programs. Expert knowledge of military, Federal Aviation Administration or International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) SUAS regulations and operating procedures, expert knowledge of flight operations (manned or unmanned) and working knowledge of fixed and deployable C-SUAS equipment and technology is critical to the successful performance of the work.
Expert knowledge of the laws, rules, regulations, and procedures governing the conduct of Air Traffic Control (ATC) operations and the separation of aircraft in terminal radar approach control and control tower operations, and of the functional and operational limitations of ATC equipment such as: radar systems, navigational aids, weather indicators, remote status indicators, radios, landlines, recording equipment, ATC simulation systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of OSD, AF, USNORTHCOM and other COCOM SUAS and C-SUAS regulations, policy, directives/instructions and guidance, and the relationship of the various DoD entities involved in overall planning and execution of military operations and evaluations, as well as a working knowledge of joint and allied services military organizations, procedures, and policy as related to SUAS and C-SUAS operations.
Skill in review and analysis techniques and methods to appraise assigned aerial surveillance programs or projects; identify needs and solutions; develop goals, policies, and procedures; monitor progress; and evaluate success.
