You will serve as a AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST in the Naval Medical Leader and Professional Development Command of NAVMEDSUP DET BETHESDA MD.
Duties
You will work in the Television Control Room performing the following: duplicating video media, Blue-Ray/DVD, CD and audio recordings, and monitoring six closed circuit channels, recording live media when directed.
You will occasionally go on videotape assignments independently and discuss arrangements with a point of contact, visit locations to determine requirements, check physical aspects of the location such space and lighting available.
You will provide technical advice to customers in the use of audiovisual equipment.
You will serve as an Audiovisual Production Specialist with responsibility for operating video cameras and recording live and special events, medical procedures, productions and training classes.
You will compile data and prepare reports which reflect equipment usage, man-hours expended, number of work orders received, number of conferences or classes.
You will transport, set up and operate both audio and video production equipment.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience developing staff schedules, coordinating staff activities and making administrative and logistical arrangements.
Experience transporting, setting up, and operating both audio public address equipment and audiovisual production equipment (including video cameras, switchers, TV's, Blu-Ray/DVD players, LCD projectors, microphones, and lighting equipment).
Experience videotaping live/special events, productions, and training classes under the guidance of a Producer/Director.
Experience using non-linear computer editing systems and associated software.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.

Individual Occupational Requirements:
Education
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position.
Advanced training in a vocational school, technical institute, or art institute above the high school level in one of the fields listed above is creditable as general experience on a month-for-month basis.

Experience
Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience in the actual type of work for which application is made. Unpaid experience is creditable, provided the work done was of a quality level and demonstrated the ability required for the position. This includes work directly connected with the production aspects of the field(s) of the position to be filled.
