This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Incumbent serves as a Management and Program Analyst for the Public Museum engagement and Legislative Archives (L). The incumbent is responsible for providing a wide variety of services essential to the management of administrative functions in the day-to-day operation of the L system.

Duties

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Participates in the development of policies, goals, and objectives to improve management programs and coordinates administrative activities related to the incumbent's areas of responsibility. Participates in the overall planning, direction, inspection and evaluation of operating programs. Reviews and develops procedures; initiates methods to develop and improve work procedures for selected program areas. Makes verbal and written reports and presentations and prepares documentation to substantiate findings. Reviews and analyzes proposals by other offices of NARA-wide issues.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility at the GS-12 level in the Federal service or equivalent, which have equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Preparing and delivering analytical findings in narrative or other reports. AND Developing and recommending new or revised procedures and methods. AND Analyzing and evaluating programs to improve organizational effectiveness. AND Developing reports and making recommendations for improvements. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
