You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, under the Director, Nuclear Propulsion Directorate, Fleet Readiness Division of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
Duties
You will develop, implement policies, programs, and procedures for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for NAVSEA.
You will develop and administer system-wide reactor plant component inventory policies, plans, procedures, objectives, and reporting systems.
You will ensure timely shipment and delivery of reactor plant components and equipment to shipyards, ships and other activities engaged in maintenance and modernization of naval reactor plants.
You will ensure prompt identification and timely resolution of potential problems with component deliveries and required delivery dates.
You will deal frequently with senior officials geographically dispersed supply locations, prime contractors, shipyard commanders, senior Program officials and other Government agency officials.
You will provide program headquarters direction and guidance to meet inventory accuracy requirements.
You will oversee the development of management reports for senior management on the status of components under manufacture, awaiting inspection, under repair, and in storage.
You will orchestrate develop, implement, and controlled deployed submarine tender "Tender Load Lists" of NAVSEA-managed spare reactor plant component and equipment inventories stocked on tenders to support nuclear-powered ships.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band BR-02 (GS-12) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading the development of lifecycle logistical strategies or sustainment plans to support Fleet Readiness supportability and availability for nuclear reactor plant equipment or components.
