You will serve as a Fuels Scheduler in the Fuel Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR.

Duties

You will receive, store, issue, and inventory petroleum products. You will be responsible for the scheduling of fuel evolutions and coordinates fuel operations in the Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam (JBPHH) area. You will perform a wide variety of administrative duties in support of the division. You will serve as primary communications point between customers and the Fuel Department.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a knowledge of a body of standardized transportation systems, rules and regulations in order to schedule and coordinate the movement, operations and other logistical support services required for fuel barges, fuel trucks, fuel piers, and other fuels distribution systems equipment. I have the ability to perform the full range of duties related to fuel terminal facilities and their operational capabilities, such as receiving and disseminating information relative to fuel operations, procedures and requirements for barge, truck or pier refueling operations (including pumps, hoses, fittings, etc.). I have the ability to utilize my knowledge related to fuels and transportation in order to assist in improving the overall efficiency of the division's processes, workflow, administration, organization and management. I also have the ability to communicate well both orally and in writing. Examples of specialized experience must include a majority of the following: 1) Communicating both with division personnel regarding various Operational information and guidance, as well as customers when performing various administrative tasks; 2) Utilizing various software applications and other office automation equipment (telephone, fax machines, scanners, etc.); 3) Assisting with the purchase of required supplies; 4) Responding to requests and inquiries about routine operations, procedures and policies; 5) Inputting and updating the Port Operations Management System (POMS) program with fuel schedule information and utilizing the database reports and queries to keep management updated on Division operations; and 6) Utilizing a knowledge of timekeeping policies and procedures in order to maintain timekeeping records for department personnel.
