You will serve as a TASK AND PORTAL ASSISTANT in the TASK AND PORTAL MANAGEMENT WITHIN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND DIRECTOR OF STAFF of OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FACILITY.

Duties

You will provide support to the US Pacific Fleet Task Manager with the creation, modification, assignment, tracking, and closeout of all classified and unclassified tasks by the Commander/Deputy Commander/Executive Director/Director of Staff. You will review taskings, coordinate updates, deletions, transfers, and extensions and ensure taskings are constantly monitored according to due dates and overdue reports. You will support the Task and Portal Manager with the enforcement of current data and common display structure on command wide SharePoint portal. You will maintain daily contact with Tasking and SharePoint Directorate points of contact, provide support to Directorates for their questions and concerns to achieve mission accomplishment. You will provide analytical reviews of completed documents to assist with the determination of subject, purpose, and relationship with other correspondence, processing priority and handling within the organization. You will create weekly status reports for distribution to the Directorates; providing current status of all taskers.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying administrative applications that contribute to the execution of timely analysis and evaluation of mission support actions to impact fleet readiness.
