About the Position: This is an Administrative Support Assistant (OA), GS-0303-06 position with USACE, Southwestern Division, Fort Worth District, Regional Planning and Environmental Center and will be located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Duties

Functions as a central point on all matters related to providing administrative services and clerical support to the Division. Assists in the consolidation of annual funding estimates for the serviced offices into the operating budget. Projects estimated costs for the coming year and prepares related supporting documents. Personally, composes correspondence for administrative matters. Ensures the establishment, maintenance and systematic disposal of a variety of records, documents, files and technical/regulatory material is in accordance with established regulations. Receives and screens telephone and personal inquiries. Requisitions office supplies and equipment and performs similar office maintenance duties. Prepares travel orders and travel vouchers for all supported employees.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing at least 2 of the following duties: 1) assisting with an office budget; OR 2) utilizing automated office software to prepare documents, correspondence and spreadsheets; OR 3) performing administrative support duties for an office such as timekeeping and coordinating travel arrangements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
