For the Redstone Arsenal, AL Location: $90,431 to $139,798 (includes 21.48% locality)
For the Fort Belvoir, VA and/or Dahlgren Location: $99,200-$153,354 (includes 33.26% locality)
Duties
This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Director of Equal Opportunity (EO) and Diversity Management in administering Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance and strategic diversity programs, and providing advice on Federal and DoD policies and practices affecting functional EEO and diversity programs.
This position is being filled under AcqDemo Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for non-acquisition positions involving 51% or more of time in direct support of acquisition positions within Business and Technical Management Professional Career path.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
As a Equal Employment Specialist at the NH-0260-3 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serving as the Senior Equal Opportunity Specialist/Affirmative Employment Manager. Serves as the primary preparer of the Agency's MD-715(Annual Equal Employment Opportunity Program Status Report).
Assisting the Director of Equal Opportunity in establishing a framework to address current Equal Employment Opportunity and workplace issues.
Managing statistics by conducting barrier analyses on an employee work-life cycle; to include: career development, awards, separation, schedule A, and hiring/ promotions.
Maintaining the Model Equal Employment Opportunity Agency requirements; to include: monitoring program deficiencies and tracking accomplishments.
Developing and ensuring policies, practices, and procedures are not creating barriers for Agency's employees; to include: women, minorities, and individuals with disability.

- Must obtain thirty-two hours in counselor training per federal directives and maintain at least eight hours of continuing
counselor training yearly
Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-03 broadband level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:

Resolving individual complaints or problems by working with Diversity Management concepts, recruitment planning, and complaint counseling.
