About the Position: This position serves as an Equal Employment Manager for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. The Army's Face to the World, the one-stop focal point for Army FMS, and the international partner of choice in U.S. Security Assistance.
Duties
Provide leadership to commanders on Equal Employment Opportunity policies.
Establish training requirements for Equal Employment Opportunity personnel.
Prepare reports on Equal Employment Opportunity Program effectiveness.
Advise management on command policy changes.
Advise management on command policy changes. Coordinate with personnel officers to promote recruitment of minorities and women.
Plan and administer the informal/formal complaint process.
Identify systemic Equal Employment Opportunity problems within command activities.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Percentage of time to be spent Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is 20%.
- The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position’s SCW certification level.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing (1) Developing and/or implementing Equal Employment Opportunity programs to ensure compliance with federal laws; (2) Applying federal Equal Employment Opportunity principles, laws, regulations and policies to solve individual problems and/or recommend decisions in complaint cases; (3) Preparing reports detailing Equal Employment Opportunity activities and progress; (4) Conducting training sessions to educate employees on Equal Employment Opportunity policies; and (5) Planning and administering the informal/formal complaint process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
