About the Position: Serves as the Division Chief for the Plans and Assessment Division of the Prevention Force Modernization Proponent (PFMP) responsible for managing future plans and operations, assessments, evaluations, research and data functions to support the Prevention Force Modernization Portfolio of work solutions for the Army enterprise as part of Army's Integrated Prevention System.
Duties
As a Plans and Assessment Manager (Prevention), you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Provides effective oversight, control and coordination of the Prevention Prevention Force Modernization Proponent strategic plans, assessments, evaluations, research and data functions.
Subject matter expert for operational and strategic planning with a primary focus on objectives and associated essential tasks required to execute planning for the prevention proponent as part of the Army prevention system
Responsible for evaluation and assessment development, process evaluation and research of public health and social/behavioral science activities utilizing standards of science and peer-level review.
Perform the full range of supervisory personnel management functions such as: plans, assigns, reviews and evaluates work, counsel employees, interviews candidates and makes selections, evaluates performance, supports EEO, etc.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience leading and facilitating the development, evaluation, planning implementations, and day to day operations of a military prevention program to prevent harmful behaviors (for example: Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention, Equal Opportunity, IPAG or Army Substance Abuse Program); serving as a prevention subject matter expert advising leaders in the development of strategic, operational and contingency planning in a military setting, and in counseling leadership in prevention doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership and education, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) integration, developing valid and reliable data collection methods to assess prevention efforts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-13.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
