You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (PLCY/PLN) in the Partner Interoperability and Engagements Division (J69); Command, Control, Communications and Cyber Directorate J6 of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND. Duties

You will serve as a country desk officer that engages with international partners at a senior and working level. You will plan and execute combined communications forums, coordinating with U.S. and foreign military partners to meet interoperability goals. You will facilitate and track security cooperation efforts, aligning program office activities with mission objectives. You will manage tactical data link configurations, ensuring secure, interoperable communication systems. You will coordinate with JITC to test and validate communication systems for U.S. and foreign partners. You will oversee secure communication capabilities, including voice, data, and VTC, to support interoperability forums. You will maintain program/project documentation using MS SharePoint, ensuring accurate, accessible information. You will analyze Theater Security Cooperation Plans, providing recommendations to support operational goals. You will support FMS processes, coordinating meetings, tracking requirements, and ensuring stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing a wide range of communications, networks, computers, and communications systems management principles, concepts, techniques, practices, and procedures to accomplish integrated information technology (IT) support planning, development, programming, budgeting, and implementation. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Applying a knowledge of and skill in methods and approaches for information sharing through the use of IT assets; 2) Utilizing managerial methods and procedures to function as a team leader, including coordinating the efforts of various teams in the implementation of agency wide programs and life cycle management projects to plan and complete assigned workload; 3) Working through the project management processes to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close projects; 4) Communicating both orally and verbally to explain/defend status of projects, making presentations in public forms and at the general officer level, and providing technical leadership on group projects; and 5) Applying a knowledge of MS Project or other automated project management software systems sufficient to input and retrieve pertinent budget/program information for assigned projects.
