You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCY/PLN) in the Partener & Operability Division, Command, Control, Communicaiton, & Cyber Directorate of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will represent HQ USINDOPACOM in international relationships, cyber security and interoperability security cooperation forums.
You will provide leadership, guidance, and expertise, regarding C4 and cyberspace operations (CO) to the execution of USINDOPACOM’s joint exercise program.
You will ensure lessons learned are integrated into the department of defense enterprise lessons learned system (JLLIS).
You will manage the distribution of performance awards and salary bonuses for subordinates.
You will determine duties to be assigned, drafts job descriptions, and/or utilizes standardized job descriptions.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Information Sys Security Mgr, proficiency level II the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:
1.) Managing the development of policy guidelines, regulations, and ensuring interoperability in accordance with existing regulations and with legal review programs and a portfolio of projects;
2.) Having knowledge of technologies, architectures, and organizations which may include terrestrial network transport, information networks, cybersecurity, satellite communications, radio frequency spectrum, tactical data links, mission partner and coalition networks, and deployable networks;
3.) Having experience with joint operations and coordination of senior level representatives of the US government to ensure US priorities and equities are met;
4.) Being culturally literate in order to navigate a complex strategic mission partners and non-partner nations to ensure intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities meet required seamless and secure interoperability with the US in order to achieve the Command's strategic mission;
5.) Supervising other federal civilians.
