About the Position: This position is within the U.S. Army Redstone Test Center (RTC) Center Support Directorate (CSD), Logistics Management
Division. RTC participates in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project, AcqDemo,
among other features. AcqDemo replaces GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands.
Duties
Serve as the Chief, Logistics Management Division at a complex multi-mission U.S. Army Test and Evaluation
command (ATEC), US Army Redstone Test Center (RTC).
As the Chief, Logistics Management Division, the incumbent has oversight and coordination of RTC Command
Property Accountability and Management.
Performs a wide range of technical input and oversight on various tasks.
Provides direction to highly technical civilian personnel, planning work to be accomplished, setting priorities,
scheduling completion, and setting standards for acceptable work.
Develops and implements RTC guidance and procedures regarding supply/logistics management.
Review and analyzes a variety of logistics resource management related budgets and accounts.
Provides oversight of Inter-Service Support Agreements (ISAs) Memorandums of understanding (MOUs), loan
Agreements and other logistics support instruments to support testing.
Exercises direct supervision of government personnel in the Logistics Management Division.
Provides expert advice and authoritative interpretations on complex support problems.
Applies a comprehensive knowledge of the test center and leadership skills and plans work to be accomplished by
subordinates.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security
clearance, or access, for duration of employment.
- A one-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: Has one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NH-03/GS-12/13 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience Supply Chain Management: Understanding the entire supply chain process, including procurement, production, inventory management, distribution, and logistics; (2) Technology Proficient: Advance knowledge of GCSS-A software and other technology tools to streamline processes, track priorities, and optimize operations; (3) Mastery in Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve logistical issues, such as delays, shortages, and disruptions, in a timely and efficient manner to maintain smooth operations; (4) Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data, such as inventory levels, transportation costs, and performance metrics, to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement; and (5) Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of Army regulatory requirements for logistics, transportation laws, ammunition and explosives storage and safety standards, to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks in logistics operations.
