You will provide technical guidance and support to the projects in the Air Cushion Vehicles (ACV) & Seabasing portfolio to include Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), Amphibious Assault Systems Integration (AASI), and ACV Foreign Military sales (FMS) as a member of the Expeditionary Development and Support Branch (E33), Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division.

Duties

You will serve as the primary technical liaison between the LCAC Fleet Units and the AASI Project Team You will provide technical guidance and support to the ACV FMS project team supporting the sale of LCAC and other amphibious craft to Allied partners You will provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on all aspects of Amphibious Assault Systems Integration, Amphibious Assault Mission Area and Air Cushioned Shipboard Interface requirements You will collaborate closely with Fleet partners including Assault Craft Units (ACU), Naval Beach Groups and Expeditionary Strike Groups You will provide technical advice and guidance to Project Managers and Engineers in the planning, scheduling, and execution of Amphibious Operations (including Factory Acceptance Testing, Shipboard Integration and Design support for Amphibious Ships You will effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, and interface with high level civilian and military officials (ACU Commanding Officers, Fleet Flag Officers, Program Office Managers, Line, Foreign Military Officials, etc.) You will review, evaluate, consolidate and effectively communicate in writing technical documentation including test reports, shipboard specifications, and training documentation You will assist with project management including planning, monitoring and tasking control to achieve objectives for cost, schedule and performance, to include financial tracking/reporting, risk/schedule management and implementing corrective actions

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating and making recommendations to improve work methods, technical procedures, or operational procedures to ensure the successful and effective operations of a Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) program.
