As the Logistics Management Specialist with responsibility for direction and control of logistics planning that includes multiple activities and may include geographically separated areas where no supply chain management personnel assigned by developing and implementing policy programs and procedures for the accurate management of Supply Chain Management (SCM) planning and provides administrative and technical oversight to a lower-graded specialist.

Duties

Major duties and responsibilities include, but is not limited to: Responsible for ensuring fully prepared SCM personnel and equipment for the Emergency Medical Response Team (EMRT). Develops assigned Supply Chain metrics which identify business objectives and drives the right supply chain behaviors for planning and executing approved strategies and providing supply chain expertise to improve supply availability with a focus on getting the right material, at the right time and right place to support the health care system. Performs duties such as cost containment and effectiveness, quality and economy of operations, and special surveys. Collaborates with OI&T to evaluate problems with existing database/software and modifications/patches for implementation to refine the inventory management system's capabilities to support enhanced supply/inventory tracking programs; inventory reorder points; days of stock on hand; supply/equipment usage; and for receiving shortage, purchase, and budget reporting purposes. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/26/2024. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: serving as a team lead or senior specialist in supply chain management, assisting with the direction and control of logistics planning; analyze product delivery or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes; performing data analysis, and statistical analysis to identify improvement opportunities. This position requires some degree of specialized knowledge and experience of logistics support activities in areas of acquisition management, purchasing, transportation, distribution, inventory management and control, expendable and non-expendable equipment, and warehouse operations Preferred Experience: Data Analytics, Database Management, Medical Supply Inventory and Equipment/Property Management to include Staff Training experience.
