The typical seasonal period for these positions is Apr/May through Oct/Nov but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April/May 2025.

Duties
Performs landscaping and grounds maintenance such as cutting grass (using industrial power mowers), debris and recycle collection and removal.
Assists in planting, transplanting, fertilizing, mulching, watering, and pruning under specific instructions and under supervision.
Uses, cares for, and accounts for various power and hand tools and equipment.
Performs simple masonry tasks such as replacing loose or missing bricks.
Receives, unloads, and delivers incoming shipments according to established procedures, and reports discrepancies and damage to others responsible for such items.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors. You must meet level 2 on the screen out factor/element and an average of level 2 on all factors/elements. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sectors:
Ability To Do the Work of the Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.
Technical Practices
Use of Measuring Instruments
Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc.
Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment
Knowledge of Materials
Examples of experience for this position includes: performing custodial, janitorial, and maintenance duties on buildings, grounds and facilities.
