The position is the Planning, Programming & Environment Branch Chief, under the Chief, Business Operations, Central Federal Lands Highway Division, Lakewood, Colorado. The position is responsible for administration and coordination of all transportation programs, stewardship and oversight of funds administered by other agencies, transportation planning activities, and environmental compliance on transportation projects.

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include: Experience administering and coordinating transportation and environmental programs and planning activities with federal, State and local planning organizations. Experience administering stewardship and oversight of funds to provide for the effective application of a risk-based program. Experience providing managerial oversight of effective and efficient planning, environmental and programming operations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Technical Competence - Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; work with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues. Organizational Awareness - Knows the organization's mission and functions, and how its social, political, and technological systems work and operates effectively within them; this includes the programs, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the organization. Partnering - Develops networks and builds alliances; collaborates across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals.
