About the Position: All candidates must reside within the local commuting area where the position is located. Duties

Evaluate the Educator Qualification, Certification, and Recertification Program to determine the degree to which program goals and objectives are achieved. Screen all employee documentation to assure that all documents are completed as required and that minimum certification/licensure qualifications are met. Serve as technical expert and in-house consultant to management on issues related to certification, qualifications, and training and development of educator personnel. Interpret and analyze specialized statutory and regulatory requirements and precedents in the operation of the Educator Qualification, Certification, and Recertification Program. Develop program materials and provides training to DoDEA staff and school administrators on matters related to qualification determinations and certification/recertification requirements. Team Leader-leads employees in the performance of work objectives set by the supervisor.

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating educator qualification, certification, and recertification programs, screening employee documentation to ensure minimum certification/licensure qualifications/requirements are met, interpreting statutory and regulatory requirements for educators, and leading teams. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
