About the Position: This position serves as the Director of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) and is responsible for the execution of all DPTMS operations.
Duties
Develop all contingency plans necessary for rapid reaction to domestic emergencies, acts of terrorism, and natural disasters associated with earthquakes and weather phenomena.
Manage all Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) programs and resources.
Execute all plans essential for the accomplishment of airfield operations, mobilization and contingency planning for rapid reaction to foreign, domestic and natural disasters.
Serve as program manager for military training and mobilization.
Direct the garrison personnel security, intelligence and counterintelligence programs.
Determine resource needs and allocation of resources and accounts for their effective use.
Serve as program manager for the garrison force protection/anti-terrorism program and is responsible for the management and operations of the Installation Operations Center (IOC).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Secret security clearance.
- A Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 is required upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.
- Temporary duty travel (15% or less) away from the normal duty station.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Specialized experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one full year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work required in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience directing mobilization and contingency planning; managing military training programs and special training of personnel to ensure security of installations; and providing program direction and strategies for deployment operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13) or equivalent.
