Duties
You will serve as Data Scientist responsible for supporting the design, creation, deployment, and management of Navy combat systems test data transfer streams throughout fleet assets and various land-based test and analysis activities.
You will support developing and maintaining scalable databases, data lakes, warehouses, and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) workflows.
You will support designing, implementing, and managing the overall data strategy and policies for an organization to ensure data quality, security, privacy, and accessibility.
You will design and create data models to support business requirements, which includes defining data elements and the relationships between them.
You will ensure data architecture follows industry and company standards, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
You will support integrating new data management technologies and tools, as well as integrating data from disparate sources.
You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, business users, and IT teams to understand their needs and provides solutions.
You will review and optimize existing data pipelines and recommend changes to improve data architecture.
You will support the creation of technical documentation, reports, and visualizations to explain data architecture and projects to various technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Supporting the design, creation, deployment, or management of Navy combat systems test data transfer streams throughout fleet assets or various land-based test and analysis activities.
