Duties

You will maintain and operate a Technical Data Library. You will utilize appropriate data analysis tools (ATRT, ADAR, Phoenix, other) to conduct objective data reduction and analysis on user test data. You will conduct quick look event reconstruction of user event data. You will provide empirical data to demonstrate specification compliance or the lack thereof during developmental software testing. You will provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to Computer Program Certification Panel (CPCP) to back up claims of specification compliance or the lack thereof. You will attend Data Analysis Working Groups (DAWGs) as appropriate to fully understand user's data reduction and analysis requirements. You will make recommendations to the Data Analysis Center Lead and to senior leadership for hardware and software tools that will optimize efficiency, accuracy and overall user satisfaction of analysis services provided by SCSC. You will provide technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data products provided by SCSC and will interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques. You will conduct testing and validation of data analysis tools to determine whether they meet users data requirements. You will participate in pre-event planning to gain an understanding of user?s requirements and expectations pertaining to data analysis and data management.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-01 (GS-04 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education

For the NH-02 band level only, education may be used to substitute for the one year of experience:
  • successful completion of a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; -OR-
  • a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
