You will serve as a POSTAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.
Duties
You will serve as deputy to Region Postal Manager within the Navy's Region and the Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) area of responsibility (AOR), providing policy guidance for the administration and operation of Military Postal Facilities.
You will prepare funding documents for allocation of funds to support postal operation within FLC AOR through Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
You will assist with the administration of the Navy Official Mail Cost Control Program (NOMCCP) in regard to training, assistance and inspections.
You will develop and initiates mail service statistical documentation on the expenditures of funds, surveys on the volume of mail and other reports of mail management control operations.
You will develop a regional standard operating procedure that provides guidance to FLC Detachment Mail Manager's on daily postal operating procedures.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to successfully complete a State Criminal History Repository Check
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license and/or government operator permit
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical guidance over regional postal operations for shore commands, ships and deployable units. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining effective and efficient postal operations by providing expert technical advice of domestic and international Postal laws, regulations, policies, and directives; 2) Operating a mail processing facility that processes mail to worldwide destinations; 3) Conducting Postal inspections to analyze, troubleshoot and implement corrective actions for a Postal mail program; and 4) Providing recommendations for the development for postal operations, budgetary regulations, and manning.
