This position is located at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Operations Division, Office of the Chief Data Officer. As a Business Analyst (Data Mgmt), you will advance the Bureau's mission by developing and implementing strategies to help Bureau staff use data more effectively. This individual will identify opportunities to enhance the Bureau's use of high-quality data. The analyst will propose projects and lead those projects from inception to completion.

As a Business Analyst (Data Mgmt), you will:
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the CN-53, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the CN-52 grade level in the Federal service. (For qualification purposes, the CN-52 is broadly equivalent to the GS-12). Specialized experience for this position includes:
-Assisting with data product development processes, including stakeholder engagements, gathering business requirements, translating requirements into actionable roadmaps, and partnering with technical staff to produce responsive output.
AND
-Supporting service managers and product owners to prioritize services to meet overall operational, functional, and technical requirements, constraints, and objectives.
AND
-Implementation of data governance frameworks and practices to support program requirements, such as the Evidence Act, Privacy Act, Paperwork Reduction Act, Freedom of Information Act, Title X of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 and e-Government Act.
AND
-Experience with data cataloging tools, statistical software, and other data-related systems or applications.
AND
- Utilizing SQL and data visualization tools.
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
