About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Strategic Systems Support Element, Training Element, Alexandria, Virginia.
Duties
Deliver special subject-matter course lessons consistent with current/emergent doctrine, supporting materials and publications for Human Intelligence (HUMINT) training and education courses; participate in course and test development.
Support training course curriculum reviews to include assessments of evaluation plans, course modules, and resource requirements.
Maintain contacts with federal law enforcement and inter-agency partners in order to support training coordination.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Must pass the organization's Personnel Reliability Program which includes credit check, drug screening, polygraph and psychological evaluation.
- Must sign a statement attesting to the understanding of DCIPS provisions.
- Travel may be required up to 30% of the time.
- Must be willing and able to participate in the organization's operations and training both CONUS and OCONUS.
- Position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes define experience with Human Intelligence (HUMINT) specific to training development, policy, and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-12).
