Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level at least in three of the following areas: leading or directing budget formulation; leading or directing budget execution; overseeing, reviewing, analyzing and evaluating effectiveness of an organization's operations, practices and procedures; managing major projects; and providing authoritative expertise for developing resource management strategies to senior leadership.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Ability to develop and appraise performance.
Ability to establish, revise, and review policies, procedures, and organizational design to accomplish mission.
Skill in oral communication sufficient to provide technical advice on an organization’s budget.
Knowledge of budget-related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, and techniques.
Ability to Implement the provisions of the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA).
Ability to establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with other supervisors, Directors, Program Office and Regional executives and Agency senior leadership.
Knowledge of acquisition-related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, and techniques.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
