Duties
Manage the United States Army, Pacific (USARPAC), G34, Personnel Recovery (PR) Section.
Responsible for the PR Program for all U.S. Army operations in the United States Pacific Command's (USPACOM) Area of Responsibility.
Ensure USARPAC's PR program is aligned with USPACOM, Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), and Joint Personnel Recovery Agency's (JPRA) initiatives and program objectives.
Serve as an expert on staff for PR policies, governance, and procedures to include PR Planning support to all operational and contingency planning missions.
Develop PR requirements for major subordinate commands, providing staff assisted visits and recommend measures to improve PR programs.
Coordinate with PACOM JPRC and Country Teams to determine interagency capabilities and contract procedures to support an isolating incident, in particular for Post Isolation Support Activities (PISA).
Develop plans and procedures to support the USPACOM Phase I and II reintegration operations for all service related personnel (Military, DOD Contractor, and DOD Civilian) within the area of responsibility.
Develop and deliver briefings, program/project papers, policies, supplementary/explanatory guidance to policies/regulations, and to gain acceptance and understanding of findings and recommendations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing IAW DA guidelines. Incumbent must complete DA 5019.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
