You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the ASIR SURFPAC Branch (BL15200) ofNAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Duties
You will communicate with customers to keep them advised of the status and availability of equipment
You will analyze problems associated with equipment repair work to make recommendations for corrective actions
You will determine solutions for technical problems that occur during pre-productions, production and use
You will analyze, interpret, and integrate information in a variety of formats such as technical reports, proposals, or operating procedures to create a finished written product
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- You will be required to sign a mobility agreement to accept relocation to other geographic locations if required by the employer.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Subject to change of duty station to any location throughout the world wherever NAWCADLKE is required to provide in-service technical support. These changes of duty assignment may be temporary or permanent, as directed.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
Understanding aircraft launch and recovery equipment, concept of operations, performance characteristics, installation procedures of aircraft carriers and/or amphibious assault and/or air capable ships
Completing various tasks related to various ALRE or similar equipment, to include equipment/system installation, modifications, repair, operation, testing, certification and aviation facility certifications
Analyzing reports and making contact with higher level representatives
Assist in providing technical guidance in planning and conducting inspections, technical assistance visits, and Work Package Definition Inspection (WPDI) visits
Planning tasks include reviewing ships class plans, ship alterations, service changes and technical manuals to ensure certification standards are correct and recommendations are accurate

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
