The Office of Business Solutions (BSO) within the Division of Corporation Finance partners with leadership and stakeholders to identify and implement creative technology solutions to support business processes. As the office is responsible for promoting the Division's efforts to reengineer current processes for advancing the agency's business requirements to design, develop, implement, evaluate, and manage systems supporting various business processes.

If selected, you will serve as the Branch Chief of the Design, Reporting, and Analysis Branch for overseeing a broad range of initiatives and serving as a business advisor and consultant:
Managing customer related information technology (IT) initiatives; facilitating and translating business needs into business requirements; monitoring client risks and issues; providing advisory services to clients on various Division's tools and systems, solutions, and emerging technologies; and acting as a liaison with stakeholders at all levels to ensure IT needs are met.
Defining business and functional requirements for the Division's systems with in-depth understanding of the Division's disclosure review program, technological capabilities, and limitations. Identifying existing and potential gaps in the organization's processes and proposing realistic and timely solutions; and identifying technology challenges and conducting market research to determine the availability of possible solutions.
Developing and implementing systems and change management programs to introduce initiatives for Division staff.
Collaborating with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to determine technical requirements and support any procurement or development processes led by OIT in support of the Division's efforts.
Analyzing existing and new data to support data driven decision making within the Division, and for designing recurring reporting tools and communication mechanisms to ensure these data and subsequent analysis are easily accessible.
Performing supervisory duties, such as performance management, training, awards, and recruitment; keeps employees informed regarding the policies, procedures, and goals of the Division as they relate to their work on assigned projects

Qualifications

Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-13 level.
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
SK-15: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level: Specialized experience includes
(1) Identifying and implementing technology solutions to support business processes;
(2) Defining business and functional requirements for division wide systems;
(3) Implementing change management programs;
(4) Providing advice, guidance, and recommendations to management on agency policies or programs; and
(5) Serving a team leader or lead varying groups.
