This position serves as a Management Analyst in the Justice Management Division, Budget Staff, Process Management Group located in Washington, DC. Responsible for performing analysis and review of internal business processes to develop, prepare, justify and execute the Department's budget.

The duties and responsibilities for a Management Analyst generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Leading and implementing process improvement within the department through collaboration with other groups and offices. Reviewing the suitability, effectiveness, and efficiency of core business processes to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement. Maintaining a management information system to track the status of improvement opportunity undertakings, budget products, congressional reports, and corrective actions. Implementing electronic document processing, retrieval, and distribution systems. Monitoring, reporting, and planning process improvement or recommending structure redesign initiatives and preparing justification for changes for the Process Management Group.

Requirements

• You must be a United States Citizen or National.
• You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Management Analyst at (GS-0343-14), you must possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information). Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service, which includes: Developing qualitative or quantitative methods to identify programs initiatives or problems; Providing advice or guidance in all facets of planning and budgeting clearly identifying problems and solutions that improve processes; AND Applying evaluative methods or techniques to perform a variety of assignments assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of the operating budgets for an organization.
