As a Program Specialist at the GS-0301-14, you will be part of Healthcare and Insurance, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for providing consultation and expert advice on HI programs, operations, systems, processes, policies, and guidance. The Program Specialist will lead efforts to ensure that these systems, processes and policies meet critical program needs and adapt as needed to changing circumstances.
Duties
Developing complex written policies, guidance, and instructions related to HI programs.
Developing and documenting business and administrative processes and requirements.
Delineating and managing complex data analysis, collection, and transfer protocols, projects, and timelines.
Qualifications
For the GS14: You must have 1 year (52 weeks) of experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service that demonstrates ALL of the following:
Conducted research and analysis on healthcare and insurance program challenges to drive informed recommendations;
Acted as a liaison, facilitating collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the program goals are achieved;
Delivered oral presentations and briefings related to healthcare and insurance topic areas; AND
Communicated with leadership, internal, and external stakeholders both orally and in writing on healthcare and insurance related issues.
Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 14 level.
