This position is in the Flight Program Operations, Quality Assurance Team. Incumbent ensures products and/or services consistently satisfy the regulatory and customer requirements; and the aircraft and its components are in condition for safe operations.
Duties
Serves as a Continuing analysis and surveillance system (CASS) auditor for the aircraft maintenance program. ensures Flight Program Operations conducts the maintenance program according to regulations and manuals, and the maintenance program is effective in achieving the desired result of consistently having airworthy aircraft approved for return to service. Provides the highest organizational level of technical support associated with analyzing, designing, developing, installing, repairing, fabricating, maintaining, modifying, or evaluating the most complex systems for which the FAA is responsible. Plans and conducts internal and external audits to ensure compliance with aviation regulations. Incumbent evaluates operational processes to identify areas of improvement and compliances issues in the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP).

Qualifications
To qualify for this FV-I (FG/GS-13) position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H (FG/GS-12) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes experience in troubleshooting and analyzing aircraft problems, using diagnostic equipment to resolve performance discrepancies, determining airworthiness of highly modified aviation platforms; Experience in oversight of an aircraft/avionics maintenance program in accordance with established standards, policies, practices and procedures, knowledge of organizational mission, objectives, and procedures required to analysis a situation and make decisions; Experience with inspection controls, and analyzing data to detect unsatisfactory results; Experience with aviation technical documents and regulations.ANDIn addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a selective factor for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Applicants who do not possess this criterion are ineligible for further consideration.SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SPF): Applicants must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate. A copy of your A&P certificate (front & back) must be uploaded to receive consideration for this position.ALSOQUALITY RANKING FACTOR (QRF):Well-qualified applicants will possess and document experience on at least one of the following aircraft: Beechcraft King Air 90 or 300 series, Bombardier CL-600 series.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
