You will serve as a CONTACT REPRESENATIVE (DEPLOYABLE COORDINATOR) in the Naval Health Clinic Charleston (NHCC) aka Naval Medical Readiness Training Command Charleston (NMRTCC), Director for Administration (DFA), Patient Administration Department (PAD) of NMRTC CHARLESTON SC.
Duties
You will apply knowledge of Disability Evaluation system policies, guidelines and procedures sufficient to serve as a technical authority for assigned programs.
You will utilize healthcare delivery and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) systems, medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, major diseases and injuries to ensure the accuracy of documentation and coding.
You will apply procedures of limited duty, overseas screening, exceptional family member programs, and the medical retirement of military members.
You will be the primary point of contact for the FMTS/OSS and the EFMP, overseeing the administrative procedural aspects of programs serving as administrative reviewer for FMTS, Case Coordinator for EFMP, and point of contact for all other issues.
You will be responsible for knowing the healthcare delivery system and most current classification system for International Classification of Diseases, medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, major diseases and injuries.
You will apply complex fact-finding, analytical and investigative techniques to gather accurate, reliable information to determine treatment of matters as they apply to program compliance.
You will prioritize competing work interests that are all high priority, recognizing the different motivations of the internal and external customers, and the ability to balance and communicate the needs of each.
You will perform initial EFMP interviews and personally handle unusually difficult or sensitive cases
You will review enrollment packages for completeness, legibility, and accuracy.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to travel occasionally to units located on the installation, as well as outside of the installation.
- You must, as a condition of employment, be immunized on an annual basis against influenza.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with complex fact-finding, analytical and investigative techniques to gather accurate and reliable information for medical case records;
Experience providing administrative and customer support services to screen medical records for completeness and accuracy;
Experience assisting healthcare providers with tracking cases related to the medical screening of patients;
