You will serve as a Supervisory Loan & Business Industry Specialist for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Processing and Disbursement Center - PDC, Processing and Disbursement Center - PDC in Fort Worth, Texas. The incumbent serves as the Risk Review Deputy Manager and is responsible for a team of Supervisory Loan Specialists and their non-supervisory staff performing loan processing work.
Duties
As a Supervisory Loan & Business Industry Specialist at the GS-1101-14, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for the completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments and the capabilities of employees.
Oversees and monitors the quality of written communications with applicants to ensure correspondence conveys accurate information, proper tone, and utilizes correct grammar.
Exercises significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or organizations, or in advising management officials of higher rank.
Plans and manages delivery of complex high priority loan applications and services which are central to SBA and its clients.
Responsible for analyzing the quality and productivity of the Risk Review Department.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
THIS POSITION IS REQUIRED TO REPORT TO THE FORT WORTH OFFICE AND MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR AD HOC TELEWORK.
This is a Permanent appointment in the competitive service with a full-time work schedule.
Employee's residing within commuting distance of the PDC may be required to physically report to the PDC five days per pay period or more often as determined by Department Management.
Mandatory Overtime: In order to respond quickly and efficiently to disaster survivors, substantial compensated overtime hours may be required while on assignment (up to seven days a week and ten to twelve hours a day).

The PDC Ft. Worth, TX location is conveniently located near the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and DART/TRE Station. In addition, employees are eligible to apply for transportation subsidy to utilize the local DART/TRE bus/rail transit system.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government travel credit card.
- Favorable background investigation and credit check are required.
- You must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date, if applicable.
- A one-year managerial probationary period may be required.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary period for non-supervisors if you fail to complete the one-year managerial probationary period.
- This position is not included in a bargaining unit.
Qualifications
Experience:
To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer. Average work hours must be stated on the resume to quantify each period of work experience or that experience will not be credited toward meeting the specialized experience requirement.
You must address the specific specialized experience required for each grade level of this position on your resume or application or you will be rated "Ineligible" for that grade level.
GS-14: To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
Planning, managing, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of loan application processing and program delivery;
Analyzing and making recommendations or decisions in areas such as workload distribution and staffing requirements;
Leading or supervising individuals to achieve organization goals and objectives; AND
Maintaining quality assurance for all aspects of an organization such as providing guidance/interpretation, as well as ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled.
All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 12/16/2024.
