You will serve as a Production Workforce Specialist in the Production Resources Workforce Division (Code 900R) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will serve as a production workforce specialist responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting one of the following program areas: Resource Allocation Program, Operations and Workforce Program, or Workforce Development Program. You will analyze production data and recommend solutions to problems encountered, e.g., bottlenecks, backlogs, excessive time consumed, lack of capability in the shop to accomplish the work, etc. You will maintain continuous contact with management, shop personnel, support codes, etc., in order to expedite work. You will provide policy, procedural, technical, and process expertise for assigned program. You will provide updated reports on progress of assigned production program. You will prepare briefings, charts, and graphs to provide senior leadership with an up-to-date view of current work schedules and statuses.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating production workforce programs (i.e. shop resources, resource allocation, production operations, staffing, revitalization plans, loans and borrows, labor and non-labor budget, coaching and continuous training and development, etc.) and identify problems in program areas to implement or recommend solutions to ensure program objectives are met.
