Supervisory Program Specialist (Activations Chief) reports to the Associate Director for Operations (Executive Leadership). Accountable to the Health System Director and Deputy Director and responsible for systemwide Planning/Activation section. Provides process consultation, task facilitation, action inquiry, coaching, mentoring, and team building for clinical and administrative employees. Responsible for space management program oversight and the activation coordination of the health system.
Duties
Include but not limited to:
Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of the difficulty of work and capabilities of each employee
Evaluating work performance of subordinates.
Giving advice, counsel, or instructions to employees on work and administrative matters Interviewing candidates for subordinate positions, recommend appointments, promotions, and reassignments.
Hearing and resolving complaints, refer group grievances and serious unresolved complaints to a higher level.
Effecting minor disciplinary measures and recommend action for more serious cases.
Identify and arrange for developmental and training needs.
Finding ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work.
Developing performance standards.
Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of the difficulty of work and capabilities of each employee.
Evaluating work performance of subordinates.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/11/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For a GA-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11.
The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
Minimum Qualification Requirement: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Specialized Experience: Includes, but not limited to: Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Coordinates the development of projects including the design, construction, activation and oversight of an equipment, furniture, and fixtures management plan. Provides leadership and guidance for developing project timelines and order of construction projects based on data. Ensures construction activation progress remains on schedule. Tracks project timelines. Coordinates the set-up of temporary operations, storage, and installation of new furniture and equipment as well as turn-ins of old equipment and furniture from the existing building. Sets long range and short-range strategic goals to support the program's and health system's strategic plan and vision. Establishes short and long-term priorities, performance measures, individual development plans,
and performance appraisals for service.

Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary, but may involve some walking, bending and occasional lifting of
up to 20 pounds.
