This position is in the Office of Transit Safety & Oversight (TSO), Stakeholder Engagement Division (TSO-1.2) This position will serve as a senior industry coordinator. Responsibilities include conducting TSO industry stakeholder analysis, coordinating stakeholder communications and outreach initiatives, developing and implementing short and long-term strategic communication plans and developing and monitoring TSO website content, and engaging in executive event planning.

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include: Experience with qualitative and quantitative methods to develop and conduct studies and projects, assess and improve program effectiveness as it relates to communication strategies and/or initiatives. Experience in developing and implementing both short and long-term strategic communication plans along with communicating such plans to various Agency stakeholders. Experience conveying technical information through presentations and briefings to an external audience (e.g., executive leadership); and coordinating the logistics of executive event planning. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Organizational Performance Analysis - Knowledge of the methods, techniques, and tools used to analyze program, organizational, and mission performance; includes methods that deliver key performance information (for example, comparative, trend, diagnostic, root cause, predictive) used to inform decisions, actions, communications, and accountability systems. Product Evaluation - Knowledge of methods for researching and analyzing external products to determine their potential for meeting organizational standards and business needs. Communications and Media - Knowledge of the production, communication and dissemination of information and ideas to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media. Interpersonal Skills (*) - Shows understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, concern, and politeness to others; develops and maintains effective relationships with others; may include effectively dealing with individuals who are difficult, hostile, or distressed; relates well to people from varied backgrounds and different situations; is sensitive to cultural diversity, race, gender, disabilities, and other individual differences.
