About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance
Duties
Serve as Executive Secretary to members of the Managing Director.
Ensure that practices and procedures used by secretaries in subordinate offices are consistent with those of the Managing Directors office.
Prepare, read, and/or review incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Prepare, consolidate, and maintain time and attendance data.
Manage calendars using Outlook, prioritize meetings as well as control visitor access using professionalism and tact.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing and composing correspondence to ensure compliance with regulations, rules of grammar, format guidelines, and special policies; Using Microsoft Suite such as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint to produce a wide range of executive documents; Using Defense Travel System (DTS) to prepare travel documents; and developing and implementing administrative office procedures to be used by other secretaries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration or Public Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
