You will serve as a Secretary (Office Automation) in the Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS) for Operations/Plans/Requirements Department of CNATRA.
Duties
You will maintain subject matter files and records that relate to the work of the department.
You will maintain the N3 ACOS’s Microsoft calendar and schedules appointments, alleviating any conflicts.
You will make necessary meeting arrangements including time, location and attendees.
You will receive visitors and phone calls to the department, determine the nature of the requests and direct callers to the ACOS or appropriate department personnel or personally provides the information desired.
You will respond to routine and non-technical requests for information such as status reports, suspense dates for matter requiring compliance, and similar information readily available from files.
You will check for text and grammatical errors, and conformance to formats and procedural requirements.
You will requisition office supplies, equipment and publications.
You will coordinate travel arrangements and conferences to include arranging visits, making reservations, notifying organizations and officials, and perform Departmental Travel Administrator (DTA) functions on travel for departmental personnel.
You will compose complex, non-technical correspondence; locates and assembles information for various reports, briefings, rosters etc.
You will plan and arrange the maintenance and preparation of information needed for required budget reports.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing administrative support by utilizing automated software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, Defense Travel System, etc.) for coordinating travel arrangements, producing documents or correspondence, and maintaining office files and records.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
One full year of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled;
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
