The position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Mid-Atlantic Care Network (VISN 6), Salisbury Healthcare System, Geriatrics and Extended Care, Home Based Primary Care (HBPC). The primary purpose of the work is to ensure that the day to day operations of HBPC have the necessary data and processes in order to provide patient care.
Duties
Major duties and responsibilities will include:
The PSA performs general program support work to ensure that all elements related to program management for HBPC are accurately processed.
Ensuring accurate consult tracking and completion, coordinating information among the various stakeholders, and responding to internal and external audits.
Responsible for compilation, research, and/or tracking of data and program information for a variety of program needs and for developing graphs and tables to display data in a meaningful manner.
Schedules meetings at the request of the program director, develops an agenda to include all necessary data to be reviewed, and completes the minutes following station policy.
Performs a wide range of administrative and organizational activities, often with tight deadlines.
Develops and implements spreadsheets for tracking, organizing, and analyzing data.
Ensures processes for accuracy of coding, workload capture and billing.
Maintains processes that ensure efficient and accurate workflow for the programs.
Meets the needs of all customers while supporting VA personnel in the pursuit of maintaining the missions that have been established for the integrated health care services.
Consistently communicates with, and treats both internal (sections, divisions, other Directorates, etc.) and external (veterans, their representatives, visitors VA staff, etc.) customers, in a courteous, tactful, prompt and respectful manner.
Provide the customer with consistent information according to established policies and procedures.
Handle conflicts and problems associated with customers constructively and appropriately.
Follows applicable regulations and instructions regarding access to computerized files, release of access codes, et., as set forth in the Automated Information Systems Users Agreement which the employee signs.
Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/11/24.
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Experience with performing various clerical and administrative duties, and providing office automation and technical support using multiple automated programs and software such as_ databases, spreadsheets, and graphics. Experience Maintaining supervisor's calendar, coordinates meeting arrangements, and schedules meetings and/or conferences. Preparing daily folder which contains calendar for the day, meeting agendas and supporting documents for required meetings, and recording and transcribing the minutes for committee meetings.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary but requires standing during presentations or training; may require some walking, bending, stretching and carrying objects such as files/binders. Work also requires spending time performing keyboarding duties. No special physical characteristics are needed to perform the work.
