Duties
As a Program Analyst at the GS-0343-12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Action officer-Mission Assurance (MA)-related programs/activities. - Executes the Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI) Line of Effort (LOE) supporting MA processes in accordance with (IAW) MA policy and guidance.
Reviews Mission Assurance Policy and related tasks, directives, instructions, and memorandums for relevance and action to USTRANSCOM equities recommending recommendations to leadership where applicable.
Prepares and provides read-ahead briefs and/or executive summaries up to the TS//SCI level for USTRANSCOM senior leaders on MA topics having USTRANSCOM equity, speaking roles or decision points.
Represents the MA Division at training and exercise events and forums and provides updates to Branch Chiefs and Division Chief on due-outs and Requests for Information (RFI).
Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other organizations at all levels.
Provide routine support to MA Operations through direct support in the Global Operations Center or indirect support through Programs and Policies.

- Will occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or shift work when required, which may
include overtime and/or irregular hours (crisis, war, exercise)
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial
aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include
overnight stays
- Must be able to maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
- Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector:
Operational understanding of impacts to DoD missions and operations influenced by the full spectrum of global events, including, but not limited to, natural disasters, terrorism, cyber operations, geopolitics, crisis, and war.
Operational knowledge of transportation mode capabilities and critical infrastructure utilized by the DoD and USTRANSCOM (road, rail, maritime and air) and supporting infrastructure/dependencies.
A high degree of written and verbal communication skills; ability to negotiate complex issues and maintain good interpersonal relationships to effectively communicate with senior leaders and organizations both internal and external to the DoD.
Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts and assumptions, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended courses of action, and package for briefings, papers, or reports suitable for senior leadership use and decision-making.
You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
